Welcome to the NEW SNAP Theme
Take time to explore the new site. There are still some slight changes to be made. If you have done Moodlerooms training, then you have a course shell. Feel free to explore, restore a backup into your course shell and see what the changes will be for the Live site (http://online.uu.edu) effective December 15th.
This course is designed to be a survey of Theatre & Film---this is a challenge because of the breadth and depth of these two artistic mediums. The overall goal is not necessarily acquiring knowledge, which is important, but to cultivate an appreciation of both mediums and develop critical thinking skills through analysis and evaluation of various theatrical and cinematic works. A basic understanding of each discipline’s historical movements and creators; technical, analytical and creative processes; organization; language/ vocabulary; and theories is essential for discussion and expression of ideas, both verbal and written. In regards to all of this course work, we will apply a variety of filters in which to examine and explore the various creative works. These filters will be cultural, technical, textual, critical, and spiritual.
